Leading in-vehicle video telematics and computer vision company VisionTrack was recognised with its thirteenth accolade last night (26th September), lifting the ‘Technology Partner of the Year – Claims’ trophy at the Insurance Times Tech & Innovation Awards.
Held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London, the awards ‘recognise and celebrate the very finest in UK general insurance technology’ and ‘those outstanding initiatives, individuals and teams embracing the opportunities and leading the charge for a better customer experience.’
In 2018 VisionTrack developed its technology to become even more flexible, help prevent incidents, further cut insurance premiums for fleets and speed up the FNOL process. It launched a white-label and gateway solution for customers already using a telematics provider who want to add video. It introduced cameras with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features which can identify lane departure, forward collisions, tailgating and vulnerable pedestrians or cyclists, while the in-vehicle monitor can recognise if a driver is tired or distracted by actions such as mobile phone use, smoking and eating.
Simon Marsh, VisionTrack’s Managing Director, commented: “We’re delighted to have won this award, our thirteenth for the trophy cabinet and it’s a fitting tribute to our team who work so hard.
Through the use of our Internet of Things platform and our partnerships with fleets, we’ve helped reduce claims frequency by 24% and costs by 18%, something we’re immensely proud of. We know our innovative solution sets us apart from the competition and we’re looking forward to driving this technology forward”.
