Simon founded VisionTrack in 2014. He’s been at the forefont of vehicle telematics and associated technologies for several years, previously as Managing Director of SmartWitness. Prior to that he had 14 years’ experience as founder and Managing Director of smart logistics company SMS, which specialised in supplying high value automotive spares and temperature-monitored logistics for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Simon deployed in-vehicle camera technology first in 2007 in his own fleet.
Richard’s role touches on all commercial aspects of the company, from sales and marketing to technical support, to help ensure the best service for customers. He has been Involved in developing software-as-a-service for the past 13 years, and previously for two well-known telematics companies: Ctrack, where he looked after European partners and distributors; and Masternaut.
Apart from running around after his two young children, Richard has a keen interest in photography, motorsport, travel and food, as well as all aspects of tech.
Gary has day-to-day responsibility for all operational aspects at VisionTrack, including order processing and warehouse stock control. His job is to ensure the company uses all the right processes and is suitably structured to meet the challenges of a growing business. Involved in the transport and fleet solutions industry for some 15 years using solutions such as telematics, Gary previously worked with Managing Director Simon Marsh in a logistics business for high value items, including temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals.
An enthusiastic former player, Gary now prefers to watch his sons play football and has a keen interest in cars and automotive technology.
Simon works closely with insurers and brokers to develop technology-leading schemes that improve business efficiency, while reducing claims costs and incidents. He has a wealth of experience in the motor insurance sector, having worked with both automotive technology manufacturers and commercial insurance firms.
As well as his passion for road safety and reducing vehicle collisions, Simon is an avid fan of ultra-running. He has run all over the world competing in extreme running events such as racing through the Sahara Desert, Amazon Jungle and the Arctic Circle.
With almost 20 years of Telematics experience and the last 9 as Head Of Corporate business for TomTom Telematics, Vernon brings a wealth of experience to Vision Track and its partners. Leveraging his past experience, Vernon’s remit will be to grow and develop the sales team with a keen focus on client retention alongside the growth of the installed base of customers. Aligning marketing and sales will also form a key part of Vernon’s longer term goals with the endgame being VisionTrack’s expansion into the fledgling European market.
