VisionTrack scoops Connected Award at Digital Insurtech Awards

VisionTrack is celebrating scooping the Connected Award – Best Telematics-based Project of the Year at Digital Insurtech Awards 2017.
Held in London, the prestigious awards are in their fifth year and celebrate ‘the shining stars who are developing new ways to harness technology’ and innovation to drive the insurance sector forward.
The leading in-vehicle video telematics provider was recognised for its success in generating profitable new business and enhancing the customer experience for fleets through technology, the fourth trophy awarded to the business for its cutting-edge ‘internet of things’ IoT platform, camera and telematics solution for fleets.
VisionTrack, part of Markerstudy Group of Companies, is a leading combined camera and telematics in-vehicle solutions provider. Its next generation cameras connect in real-time to its own bespoke state of the art cloud-based IoT platform, allowing fleets to track vehicles and predict driving patterns.
The business also launched a next generation VT2.3G camera last month, an even more competitively-priced device, which provides data on how close a vehicle is driving to others. The offering also give customers the significant benefit of decreased insurance premiums, with one fleet with 60 vehicles saving approximately £19,000.
Simon Marsh, VisionTrack’s Managing Director, commented: “We wanted to help reduce deaths and injuries on the UK’s roads, as well as fight fraud, which is continuing to cause premiums to rise. We felt existing telematics products were just not hitting the mark. This win demonstrates just how advanced the VisionTrack solution is and how much technology can play an important role in road safety. There are massive benefits to Fleet Managers and insurance providers utilising our platform. A big thank you to the whole team, we’re very proud!”
